These terms describe your use of DIY Plans (diyplans.org) and its digital materials.

Materials and safety

These files have not been checked for accuracy, safety, structural adequacy, or building-code compliance. They may contain serious errors and are not construction-ready. Obtain independent qualified design and review before building.

All plans, instructions, images, lists, and files are informational materials. We do not provide professional architectural, engineering, or construction services. You are responsible for checking suitability, dimensions, site conditions, and local requirements, and arranging qualified review, permits, and safe construction. Read the Safety Disclaimer before using the materials.

Purchases and access

Published instructions and pictures are free to view. The package page shows the current price and included digital files before checkout. Payment buys access to those materials; it does not include professional review or approval for construction.

Stripe processes payments. You can buy without signing in. After payment, we create or link an account using your checkout email. Use that email to sign in and return to your purchases. Contact info@diyplans.org for access problems, billing questions, or refund requests.

Plan package purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your package, contact info@diyplans.org within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Include your checkout email and the plan name so we can find your purchase.

Reuse rights

Follow the license stated for each plan or file. Designs marked CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 International may be shared and adapted for noncommercial purposes with credit, a license link, identification of changes, and the same license on adaptations. This applies only to the identified work; separately identified third-party material keeps its own terms. Free access or purchase does not change the stated license. See the licensing FAQ.

Warranties and legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, the website and materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, completeness, safety, code compliance, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Use the materials at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Website use, privacy, and other services

Use the site lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, seek unauthorized access, or submit spam or malicious files. Our privacy policy explains data collection, cookies, advertising, and your choices.

We may display ads and earn commissions through affiliate links, with disclosures near the relevant links or recommendations. Ads do not imply endorsement. Other websites and sellers have their own terms, privacy practices, and purchase policies.
