DIY Plans shares project information and downloadable files to help you plan and build useful things. These terms describe how you may use this website.
Using the plans
Plans are provided for informational use. Read the complete instructions, revision and configuration before using a file. Check dimensions, material specifications, permits and requirements for your location. Arrange qualified review when the project or local requirements call for it.
Drafts and limitations
Draft content is not a final construction plan. A geometric CAD check does not establish structural capacity, regulatory compliance or a successful physical test build. Follow the limitations recorded with each project.
Plan packages and reuse rights
Published instructions and pictures are free to view. Some projects offer paid packages with shopping lists, cut lists, and downloadable files. The package page shows the current price and exactly what is included before checkout. Sign in to purchase and access your package. Stripe processes payments. Contact us about purchase or access problems.
Free DIY Plans designs marked CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 International may be shared and adapted for noncommercial purposes with appropriate credit, a link to the license, an indication of changes, and the same license on adaptations. The license covers only the work identified with it and does not cover separately identified third-party material or other rights outside its scope. For every other plan or file, follow its stated license and attribution terms; free access or purchase alone does not grant reuse rights. See the FAQ about licensing and reuse.
Your use of the website
Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to access private systems or messages, interfere with the site's operation, submit spam or distribute malicious files. You are responsible for the information you submit through the contact form.

We aim to make the information clear and useful, but errors and omissions can occur. Content may change or be removed. The site and its content are provided as available, without guarantees of completeness, fitness for a particular project or uninterrupted access, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
